We are so excited for our fourth annual sweetheart dance! There is so much that goes into organizing an event of this size, so here is a list of the most frequently asked questions to help.
1. What time do the doors open?
The dance starts promptly at 6:30, doors will open at 6:15. Pictures are taken on a first come first serve basis so you don’t want to arrive too late.
2. Where do I park, which doors do I enter through?
The dance will be held in the BHS Cafeteria. Enter through the “Main Entrance”. Please DO NOT park in any fire zones/tow away spots. The BPD and BFD will be closely monitoring this event.
3. What if I don’t buy tickets on the ticket sale dates? Can I send my child into school with money or buy tickets at the door?
No, we try our best to have all tickets purchased on the ticket sales dates. We understand that there will be people that can’t make the dates and times we have available, so you can absolutely send your order form and money in with a friend to get your tickets.
Please DO NOT send order forms and money in with your child. Money and tickets have gotten lost that way in the past and we don’t want to be responsible for that.
4. Can I purchase picture packages & flowers at the door the night of the dance?
No, everything has to be pre-ordered and paid for on our end, so we order just enough for the orders placed.
5. What can I expect to see when I first arrive at the dance? What is the check-in process like? What do I need to bring with me?
There will be two lines formed when you arrive, last names starting with the letters A-L on the left and letters M-Z on the right. Please make sure to bring your tickets with you and have them ready for the person at the table.
If you pre-purchased a photo package, you will be given a photo group number. When you hear the DJ call that number, you will go to the media room to have your pics taken.
If you pre-ordered flowers, you will get them next.
Tables will be set up in the back of the cafeteria with drinks and light snacks for the kids.
We will have a “Selfie Station” this year so be sure to bring your phone/camera, we’ll supply the props.
6. Can I take balloons for my child when the dance is almost over?
This year we will be raffling off the balloons after the dance is over. This is a safety issue as a lot of the balloons are secured to metal poles and heavy magnets. Not only are we responsible to get these pieces back to Party Town, but they can be very dangerous if not taken down properly. Please help us avoid any disappointment with the children and tell them this before hand.
We’re looking forward to am amazing night, bring your dancing shoes, it’s sure to be a fun night!
