Open House is a big evening at Levy School - it's a chance for parents and guardians to meet their children's teachers and to find out about the daily "ins and outs" of their children's classrooms. It's also a chance for us to share with you the information we hope will be most useful to you as the year begins, and to have you complete the remaining paperwork that we need to ensure children's safety and well-being while they are in our care.
Open House this year is being organized in a slightly different format than in past years.
On the evening of the 27th, First Grade parents are asked to go directly to their children's classrooms at 6:00. Kindergarten parents are asked to join me, with the Kindergarten teachers, in the cafeteria at 6:00. At about 6:45, everyone will switch places! There will be announcement and directions from teachers to guide you. (**If you happen to have a child entering each grade level, please give priority to meeting your child's teachers and completing paperwork - we can get the rest of the information to you at another time!)
Parking is very limited at Levy - if you are able to walk or to carpool, we encourage you to do so. The entire front and side lot are available to all our guests on Open House night. Additionally, we recommend that you use the municipal parking available across the street at the Jesse Smith Library complex. Limited parking may also be available on Main Street and Chapel Street.
Open House night is very busy and teachers will have limited time to speak with parents and share information. If your child has special circumstances, or if you need some time to chat with the teacher prior to the start of the school year, please email him/her directly to set up an appointment, or call the school to make arrangements for a private conference.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call! We look forward to welcoming you all soon!
