Good Evening, Levy Families!

Did you all remember to turn your clocks ahead? I am so glad for the taste of spring...but I’m thinking we will all be feeling a little groggy tomorrow morning!

Here’s what’s happening this week...

Upcoming Events:

  • On Tuesday evening, March 15th, there will be a special LEARN TO USE THE LIBRARY night at the Jesse Smith Library, from 6-7:30 p.m. All are welcome to join in a fun evening of activities hosted by the children’s librarians and district staff. If you are planning to attend, kindly email Candis Boucher at and let her know to expect you!

  • Parent-Teacher Conference Night is this coming Thursday, March 17th, from 5-8 p.m. Conferences are by appointment only. If you have not made an appointment with your child’s teacher and you would like a conference, please contact him/her this week to make arrangements. Please do not “drop in” on Thursday evening for a conference - teachers’ schedules are very tight and they will not be able to accommodate you.

  • On Thursday evening, during parent-teacher conferences, our Book Fair will be open to parents. Also - tickets for our Sweetheart Dance will be on sale from 5-8 p.m. and

anyone who ordered from our Yankee Candle fundraiser will be able to pick up orders that evening between 3:30 and 8:00 p,m,

  • The PTF needs volunteers to set up the Book Fair and the Yankee Candle merchandise during the day on Thursday. If you are available, please contact either Jill Calapai or Darcey Johnson ( or as soon as possible!

  • Throughout the month of March, we will continue collecting food items for community families in need. This month we are gratefully accepting donations of canned, kid-friendly meals, such as Spaghetti-O’s and Beef-a-Roni. Thank you!

  • Kindergarten students are invited to bring labels and visit the school store this week!

Some Updates and Reminders:

  • We are continuing to battle strep throat, stomach bugs, and the flu at Levy. We are working hard to make sure that children wash their hands many times during the day and use hand sanitizer whenever hand washing isn’t practical. We are also taking extra steps to disinfect and de-germ the building. You can help us keep the school healthy by reminding your children to cough and sneeze into their elbows (not hands!), to use tissues when their noses need it (and dispose of them quickly) and to keep their hands away from their faces and the faces of others. Thank you!

  • We have just learned that the Campbell’s label program is coming to an end at the close of this school year - so if you are holding on to any Campbell’s labels, be sure to send them in!

  • The PTF will be holding elections for the coming school year at our April meeting, The secretary’s and treasurer’s positions are still open! If you are interested, please contact either Jill Calapai or Darcey Johnson ( or

For information whenever you need it, please be sure to check out our Levy website at  If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email me at any  time!

Have a great week!
