A Sneak Peek at the Week…

Good Evening, Levy Families!

Here’s what’s happening this week...

Upcoming Events:

  • Tomorrow is now the 100th day of school! We will carry on with our celebration of the day, as we had planned to on Friday, Students (and our teachers!) are invited to dress like they are 100 years old!

  • Progress Reports will come home tomorrow - please look for them!

  • Some classes will be having special Valentine’s Day-themed activities on Friday. If your child’s class is having a special event, the teacher will be in touch with you. If you are planning to send Valentines to school with your child, please remember that children may not bring Valentines with candy or lollipops attached. Please help us avoid disappointments in school by adhering to the district’s Health and Wellness Policy! Thank you!

  • Throughout the month of February, children in Kindergarten and first grade will be working hard to earn Levy Loots for a chance to be Principal for a Day! All Levy Loots earned in February will be collected in a special container - one for each grade - and on Leap Day, a name will be selected from each container. The winners will each get to be Principal for a Day in the spring! In years past, this contest has been a fundraiser for Levy School, and we are excited to transition it to a PBIS event! Stay tuned for updates!

  • Kindergarten and First Grade students are invited to bring labels and visit the school store this week, due to the snow day!

    • Mrs. Allard and I would like to remind all families that children should only bring boxtops and labels when they have at least 5 to turn in. Please be sure to cut Boxtops and other labels from their packaging before sending them to school! Thank you!

Some Updates and Reminders:

  • Austin the Seahorse: We will update you next week on Austin’s whereabouts!

  • We are suddenly getting a lot of dismissal-change phone calls at the very end of the day. Please remember that if you are making any change to your child’s dismissal routine A NOTE IS REQUIRED in the morning. If there is an emergency and you must call the school to make a change, please do so before noon, and please speak to the secretary. Last-minute phone calls, emails, and voicemail messages may not be received in time!

  • If you are interested in volunteering either in the classroom or for special school events, and you notice that you may not be on the master email list (you haven't received any emails about volunteer opportunities) and you have a current BCI, please email Jill Calapai at to have your name added to the list.  A current BCI is necessary for all volunteers, and it sometimes takes several days to clear, If you have any intention to volunteer this year, we recommend that you take steps to have your BCI done now, so as to avoid any delays or disappointments! Please contact Jill to get more information.

For information whenever you need it, please be sure to check out our Levy website at  If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email me at any  time!

Have a great week, a Happy Valentine’s Day, and a relaxing long weekend!
