Good Evening, Levy Families! Here’s what’s happening this week...

Upcoming Events:

  • Tomorrow we will be enjoying our annual Santa Sing-a-longs with the big guy himself - we are looking forward to lots of fun!

  • Many classrooms are having celebrations this week, and we have made some carefully considered exceptions to our district wellness policy. If your child’s teacher is in need of specific food donations, s/he will have contacted you with my permission. As a reminder, no homemade food items are allowed at school, and no food items of any kind may be sent home with children (as in goodie bags, for example). If you are sending a store-bought item to school (again, your child’s teacher will have contacted you) it must be prepackaged and the ingredient list must be clearly labeled. Please help us avoid disappointments - if you have any questions about the acceptability of a food item, call the school to check before sending it in! Thank you!

  • We have only two days of school this week! Vacation begins on Wednesday, the 23rd of December - school resumes on Monday, January 4, 2016!

  • There will be no boxtops and labels this week, or school store! We will resume when we come back in January!

Some Updates and Reminders:

  • Austin the Seahorse: Our elf-friend Shelly will soon be heading back to the North Pole! Before she goes, she’ll be saying goodbye to Ms. Byrne’s first grade class, since they earned the most Levy Loot this week!

  • Some new pages have been added to our Levy website - if you haven’t visited recently, check out Support Our School and the

Principal's Blog!

For information whenever you need it, please be sure to check out our Levy website at  If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email me at any  time!

And finally, In the words of author Ada V. Hendricks:

May you have the gladness of Christmas which is hope;
The spirit of Christmas which is peace;
The heart of Christmas which is love.

Each of your children is a great gift to us at Levy, and we are grateful every day for the privilege of being a part of their lives and yours. My best wishes to you and your loved ones for a joyous Christmas, a restful and well-deserved vacation, safe travels, and a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2016!
