Dear Levy Families,

Updates and Upcoming Events:

  • Austin the Seahorse: Congratulations to Miss Alarie’s Kindergarten class and Ms. Bruckmann’s 1st Grade class who earned a visit from Austin the Seahorse with all their Levy Loot this week! Keep up the good work!

  • School Picture Day is TOMORROW, October 5th!

  • Tomorrow evening, October 5th, our Parent-Teacher Forum will meet at 6:00 p.m. We will gather in the school library - all are welcome! (The School Improvement Team meeting has been postponed until Monday, October 19th at 5:00 p.m.)

  • Our third annual Levy Learning Night is this Thursday, October 8th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Special activities and presentations have been planned for parents of all our students in preK through grade 1.  We hope to see everyone there!

  • Fundraiser materials are due back to the school this Friday, October 9th. Please remember to make checks payable to the A.T. Levy PTF!

  • Your child’s  first Progress Report of the year will be coming home this Friday, October 9th! Please watch for it!

  • Mark your calendars for our Annual Levy Halloween Dance! It will be held at Levy on Friday, October 23rd, from 6-8 p.m. More information is coming soon!

  • Because we were unable to collect labels or hold school store this past Friday (Mrs. Allard had a much-deserved vacation!), both First grade AND Kindergarten children are invited to bring in their boxtops and labels and to visit the school store this week.

Some Reminders:

  • A letter came home this past week about a special evening with the Superintendent on November 19th. He, along with the district’s curriculum director, special education director, technology director, business manager, facilities director, and I will be sharing information about the Burrillville School Department’s achievements over the past several years, and our direction in the coming years. Babysitting services will be provided for school-age children that evening. We hope to see you all there! A copy of the letter is attached.

  • If your child is going to be absent from school, please be sure to call and let us know! A note is also required once your child returns. Thank you!

For information at any time, please be sure to check out our new Levy website at  As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email me at any  time!

Remember that there is no school NEXT Monday, October 12th, in observance of Columbus Day! Have a great week and a nice long weekend!
